Welcome
My name is Amanda Buckner. I am glad you are here. Let me tell you a little about myself and my practice. I am glad you are here; let me tell you a little more about I I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) in the state of Kansas and I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of Anxiety, Depression, IDD, and Perinatal Mental Health Disorders. I work with individual adults ages 18 and up.
In 2008 I received an undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Wichita State University. I went on to obtain a Master of Social Work degree from Newman University (Wichita, KS) in 2009. I started working as a therapist in 2012 when I opened my private practice.
I became a therapist because I enjoy working one-on-one with people, and I find it rewarding to help others. I incorporate Christian values into my work. I do not believe in "one size fits all" therapy. Through years of experience I have learned that people respond to treatments differently depending on their personality and the severity of their struggles. My approach to therapy is to take things one step at a time starting with where you are at right now. If we try a specific treatment method and it is unsuccessful we can take a step back and try something different. We will work together to find the most affective and appropriate treatment for you. I also believe in positive and successful outcomes, and want you to be satisfied with the care and treatment you receive.
