Are you the parent or caregiver of someone with an intellectual developmental disability and need support for them or yourself? Individuals with a developmental disability often struggle with anxiety and/or depression symptoms; as well as other conditions. As a caregiver, supporting a loved one with a developmental disability can be challenging, leaving you in need of support as well.
My Experience
I started working with the IDD population in 2003. Throughout most of my college years I worked in group homes and with individuals who lived independently in the community. In 2015 I was given the opportunity to provide therapy services to individuals through the same agency that I worked at in 2003. I continue to provide therapy services for this agency today, as well as other agencies and individuals within my community. I thoroughly enjoy working with this population and their families.
